Charlie was not a fan of his first bath but he loved cuddled time afterwards!!

I'm already behind with my posts. I thought that after I had Charlie I would keep my blog updated regularly but I'm finding that the days just fly by. At 3am when I'm up feeding Charlie I think of all these great posts but don't have both arms available to actually type them out. So I'll just have to write them when I can and not worry about if I get them done as quick as I want to.

We brought Charlie in for his checkup and here are his stats:

Weight- 7 lbs 10.5 oz (25-50 percentile)
Height- 21 inches (75-90 percentile)
Head- 14 inches (25-50 percentile)

He was still jaundiced so they re-checked his bilirubin level. It was still high but slightly lower than a few days ago. My pediatrician wasn't concerned and thought it would just go down on it's own. And now as I'm typing this it's a week later and his color looks so much better already. He was a really cute tan baby though :) We do have another appointment this friday to re-check his levels just to make sure his jaundice is resolving. He didn't even cry when they did the heel poke- what a brave boy.

He's Here!!!

Welcome ~ Charlie Allen Gilchrist

Charles "Charlie" Allen Gilchrist arrived on February 3 at 3:40am. He weighed in at 7 lbs 9 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long.

Charlie is absolutely perfect. We are so in love with our new little son and we are enjoying every minute of these first few weeks. We were discharged from the hospital last friday and have been enjoying being at home with the 3 of us (well 4 with Bella :) ) We've done a few baths, had his first Dr.'s appointment, took our first trip of many to Target, and had lots of snuggle time.

I just cannot believe that he is already nine days old. Where did this last week go! I feel like he has changed so much already. I'm sure I will be saying that for a long time!

I'll post the birth story later as well as more pictures. How do you choose between all 500 CUTE pictures that we took so far?? :)
