Sunshine

Well I've made it through 2 weeks of work and it's definately had it's ups and downs. It was harder than I thought to go back to work, I'm hoping that as time goes on it will get easier. My co-workers have been wonderful and helped me through the first few days of work- they were great! I thought once I got through the first week it would be smooth sailing but I was so surprised at how sad I was Sunday night when I had to go back to work Monday morning. It was almost like I realized that working is real life and I just need to get used to it. I have 4 days off this week because I work this weekend. I am just enjoying the sunshine and spending lots of time playing with my baby.

Today was such a fun day! I got together with a co-worker and her little girl and walked around a lake in Roseville this afternoon. Brent met up with us and we went to Como Zoo for Charlie's first zoo experience. I don't think he really took in all the animals this time, but he did like getting out in the fresh air and looking at all of the people. Afterwards we went to Grand Ol Creamery for yummy chocolate peanut butter ice cream...I could have another one right now, it was soo good! We did share a scoop which made me feel better about having dessert before we even had dinner :) Then we went home and hung out on our deck playing with Charlie and Bella. It was a fun day. After today it makes me so excited for summer because I know this is just the first of many fun, sunshine filled days.

At Como Zoo:

Charlie licked our shirts for most of his zoo experience

Charlie loves to stand and show us how strong his legs are!

Cuddling on the outdoor couches

Daddy this is an interesting book...

Back to Real Life

I can't believe that 12 weeks of maternity leave has already gone by. I remember thinking in the beginning that 12 weeks is such a long time and I would maybe even be bored of being home by the end. Well needless to say I can't even express how much I've enjoyed being at home with my baby boy. He is such a joyful, happy, and easy baby! Right now I'm letting him take his nap with me...I love having him sleep on my chest. He is such a little snuggler! I am very sad to not be home every day with my baby but I guess it's time to get back to real life and figure out how to work and have quality Charlie time. It will be an adjustment but I'm sure it will be ok...well that's what I've been telling myself!

Here are my favorite pics of the week:
