Cabo

Brent and I just got back on Sunday from a wonderful vacation to Cabo San Lucas. We went all by ourselves and had so much fun relaxing, sleeping in, swimming in the infinity pool, spending time on the beach, relaxing in the sun, having conversations that weren't interrupted :), and having dinners later than 5 pm. We obviously missed Charlie a lot and were SO excited to come back and see him on Sunday, but it was also nice to have had 5 days to ourselves. Becky, my Mother in Law, spent the week at our house playing with Charlie and having a lot of fun bonding time with him. Thank you soo much Becky for watching Charlie!!!

Here are some pictures from our trip. We want to go back already! Summer better come quick!

Love :)

We took a water taxi to this beach for the day. We ran out of sunscreen while we were there....not a good thing to do :(

Me and the hubs :)

We hung out here most of the trip

My handsome hubby :)

Beautiful beach, awesome waves (although you can't see how big the waves were in this pic), and the cruise ships

The infinity pool (they had 3 or 4 infinity pools, really cool!)

I just LOVE palm trees, especially at sunset!

In just 5 days, Charlie seemed to change a lot. He is now pointing to EVERYTHING! Especially lights, he is just fascinated by them! He puckers his mouth into an "O" and says "Oooooooooo" and points. Super Cute! He's also walking so well now. He much prefers walking to crawling and is getting better walking outside on the driveway.

Of course I can't just post pictures of us, we need to have some cute ones of Charlie too!

"Oooooooo"

Looking cute at bathtime. Needs a haircut again already!

Playing with Bethany outside

They could hardly move with all their snow gear on...pretty cute cousins though :)

What we've been up to...

I've been slacking lately in my blog posting. I go through spurts of posting a little more frequently and then a big break and then I feel guilty and then do another few posts, and the cycle goes on and on.

Last week Charlie hadn't been feeling great. Diarrhea for 6 days + not eating + refusing to drink pedialyte or most fluids + only peeing 2 small diapers in 24 hrs = a trip to the ER for IV fluids. He was a trooper in the ER, obviously hated the IV placement, but snuggled on my lap for the majority of the time. He is feeling great now and is so excited to show off his new walking skills. It's pretty fun to watch him get better at walking each day.

Despite being sick, we had time to do some fun stuff too. We got together with our friends Rachel, Graham, and their 16 month old Corey. We had a playdate at Mall of America last Sunday. We let the boys play at Legoland, Rachel and I did some shopping while the guys got the boys to sleep, and ended the day with a yummy lunch. Fun fun fun!

I am starting a new job this week, still at Gillette, but in a different department. I'll be working in Perianesthesia caring for patients before surgery, in recovery after surgery, and discharging patients after they had their surgical procedure. I loved my job on Med/Trauma and LOVE all my co-workers, but the new hours in my new position were just too great to pass up. I'll be working three 10 hr shifts per week, no weekends or holidays. It'll be so nice to have more family time on the weekends, especially now that summer is coming :)

Well...here's what you really were looking for on this post...pictures!

Hello!

Charlie is always tugging on Bella's paws...Bella is so patient

Big hugs and kisses for the puppy!

Since we can't go outside and play in a pool we decided to have indoor water play time. The water lasts all of 5 min in the bowls and then Charlie dumps it and says "Uh Oh". Well...at least its 5 min of fun :)

Have a great week!!

We have a walker!!

This post is mainly for the grandparents :)

Charlie has been sick for the past week or so and since he was feeling under the weather he took a break from practicing his walking skills. Well apparently he is feeling better and started walking today! He's still unsteady and falls quite a bit, but a walker nonetheless :)

Here's the proof (don't pay any attention to the proud parents getting excited in the video- haha):

If one video wasn't enough for you here's another one :)
